Just saw these stickers.
Similar ones I saw in traffic but obviously couldn’t take a pic of were:
(road sign for Autobahn) + (sign for end of speed limit) + (BMW roundel) = :)

Those two ladies will be helpful pushing your BMW onto the tow truck when your coolant system spills it’s guts out.
Shortsighted bro.

That graphic was one of my old cover photos when I used Facebook. I was a big BMW fanboy back in high school.

You just went camping with two weirdos with weird beater cars!
That said. I just decided that I will buy a new used car after christmas bonus time. (Honda will need new summer tires and a timing chain job. And I just want a wagon.) The petrol Octavia RS is on my “reasonable” list. € 10k would get me a model which is your gen. Any things to watch out for?

On the petrol models I know they occasionally suffered premature turbo failure. As I was looking for the diesel variant I didn’t look into it too much, but the Briskoda forums should be able to fill you in on all (if any) of the details. Otherwise the build quality is fine (typical VW, minor rattles and annoyances), the 200ps petrol engine is a strong motor with a wide power band, it handles very well with the right rubber, the boot space is fantastic especially with the seats down, and the front seats are pretty comfortable in vRS trim. I would suggest trying to get the best audio system possible, preferably with Bluetooth, as that’s the only thing I feel is lacking in my car. The basic system is ‘Stream’ which comes with the multi-function display and basic radio/cd, the top spec is ‘Bolero’, distinctive with it’s full double-din screen and multi-function steering wheel. Bluetooth is an option on Bolero still, but more often that not people seemed to tick the box.
Otherwise it’s a good car, and last weekend with the weirdos really cemented that fact for me. I genuinely enjoy it as a back road racer, but also as a long distance comfortable hauler. The diesel vRS gets upto 60mpg if you take it easy, what more could you want??

Well I still love a nice E39/E60 as much as the next guy, but you can’t go wrong with a rev-happy Japanese 4-banger.

I love my car and all, but even I will admit there are things more perfect than it.
